That’s right, you read that right. Did you know that if you struggle with procrastination it’s because you’re playing with the monkey in your head? Sounds funny but it’s true.
Here’s a video to demonstrate how the monkey in your head works…
How often do you find yourself getting excited about something and then over time…things just slow down and eventually you just give up and quit?
If you want that thriving business. If you want to really make an impact in the world. If you want to live the life you most desire – you’ve got to eliminate procrastination.
The one thing that separates those who succeed and those that struggle to see success is one word; anticipation. You see those that succeed complete the most important tasks. They also know that there will be frustration and distraction, so they prepare for it.
Another very important thing you must know if you’re going to beat procrastination is you can’t do it alone. If you are trying to achieve a BIG goal like starting a business or losing weight – you can’t do it alone.
Successful people have help and usually lots of help.
Successful people surround themselves with people who will hold them accountable, encourage them, believe in them and uplift them. Successful people also know that this journey called life is a long-distance race, not a sprint.
During the long distance race, you will encounter setbacks, obstacles, fear and yes failures. These are all opportunities to help you grow. These opportunities to grow can sometimes feel overwhelming and cause anxiety, which can lead to more procrastination. And, I don’t know about you but it seems like the closer I get to my goals, the more scared my brain becomes. Does that happen to you?
Instead of giving in to procrastination, take action and make the next small step.
Life is merely a series of small steps. One of the best ways to defeat procrastination is to be in action with the small steps, that lead to the larger steps, that eventually leads to accomplishing your goal.
Get smart about creating your future victorious life. Please understand that frustration will come. Overwhelm and doubt will be there also. But you have the ability to make a better choice. You have the power to defeat procrastination and live the life you most desire.
One of the best ways to really overcome procrastination is to seek the help of a coach or mentor. Someone who will hold you accountable to the things you say you want most out of life and help you to achieve them without the burdens of procrastination.
To your amazing, Victorious Life!
